Itinerary
Day 1 - Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to the Miraflores Park Hotel sensationally located beside the Pacific Ocean. Here you stay for one night in a wonderful Ocean View Executive Suite.
Day 2 - Cusco
Morning flight to Cuzco, a jewel of Inca and colonial architecture and often referred to as the “Archaeological Capital of the Americas”. On arrival transfer to the Hotel Monasterio for a two night stay in a deluxe oxygen enriched room.
After lunch, a guided introductory tour of the city, covering the history of the Inca’s civilization and including the magnificent Plaza de Armas, the cathedral with its works of art and altar of solid silver and the Temple of the Sun, the most important place of worship in the Inca Empire.
No visit to Cusco would be complete without a visit to the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman fortress, the largest of any Inca site, with its enormous stones fitted with extraordinary Inca perfection. Evening at leisure.
Day 3 - Cusco
We have arranged a private full day tour of the Sacred Valley, starting at Pisac Market and ruins. Afterwards enjoy lunch at the Huayocari house, where you have a wonderful view of the valley. Continue this magical journey as you travel up the valley to Ollantaytambo, the last Inca town that still retains its original architecture. Evening at leisure.
Day 4 - Machu Picchu
Early morning transfer to the train station of Poroy; you will travel to Machu Picchu via the luxurious Hiram Bingham train including lunch on board.
At midday the train will arrive in Aguas Calientes where your guide will take you up to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu by private bus. Get ready to experience one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders of the world on a private tour.
After the tour stay one night at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge situated right next to the ruins, where you will enjoy a very romantic dinner in your terrace overlooking the Machu Picchu Mountains.
Day 5 – Cusco
Morning at leisure in Machu Picchu. In the evening return to Aguas Calientes for the Hiram Bingham train to Cusco with dinner on board. Upon arrival at Poroy, a private transfer will await to take you back to the Hotel Monasterio
Day 6 - Colca Canyon
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Arequipa, known as the “White City”, overlooked by the magical volcano “Misti”. Transfer to Colca Canyon one of the deepest and most distinct canyons in the world, dotted with small towns that preserve their customs and traditions. Stay for two nights at Las Casitas del Colca and spend your time in harmony with the canyon and its surroundings. Las Casitas del Colca provides a rare opportunity to relax and reflect on the beauty and tranquility of the Colca valley. Full board is included for the entire stay.
Day 7 – Colca Canyon
Half day private tour to the highest attractive point in Colca: “Cruz del Condor” which offers the unforgettable experience of seeing condors in their natural habitat. Continue on, with a visit to Cabanaconde a typical rural town. Evening at leisure to relax at the hotel.
Day 8 – Depart Arequipa
Early morning transfer to Arequipa. Lunch at La Trattoria del Monasterio, an outstanding restaurant inside one of Arequipa’s leading architectural and historical attractions, the Convent of Santa Catalina, where you can enjoy a truly memorable culinary adventure that combines the finest of Arequipan and Italian cuisine. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, in time to connect with your international flight.
