Itinerary
Day 1 - Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to the Miraflores Park Hotel sensationally located beside the Pacific Ocean. Here you stay for two nights in a wonderful Ocean View Executive Suite.
Day 2 - Lima
After breakfast, spend the morning touring downtown Lima, also known as "The City of Kings", followed by a visit to Larco Herrera Museum which houses an extraordinary collection of pre-Columbian art objects. Enjoy a fabulous lunch in this enchanting place. Evening at leisure.
Day 3 - Cusco
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco where you stay for one night at Hotel Monasterio in a Deluxe Oxygen Enriched Room. After lunch at the hotel enjoy a private tour of this historic city and nearby Inca ruins. Spend the evening at leisure.
Day 4 - Cusco
Full day visit to the colorful market of Pisac, including an exquisite lunch at Huayocari, a private country house with a beautiful collection of Inca and Colonial art. Later visit the village of Ollantaytambo, an ancient fortress towering above the Sacred Valley. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 5 – Machu Picchu
Travel to Machu Picchu on board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train. Lunch on board. Check in at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located alongside this magnificent site. Enjoy afternoon "English style tea” and dinner at the hotel. Full board included for the entire stay.
Day 6 – Machu Picchu
Awake to the wonders of Machu Picchu and a choice of activities including a climb up to Huayna Picchu, sunrise at the Inti Punku or an in depth tour of Machu Picchu. Evening at leisure.
Day 7 - Cusco
Enjoy the wonders of Machu Picchu with your private guide and optional activities of your choice. Return to Cusco via the Hiram Bingham train. Upon arrival at Poroy, transfer to Hotel Monasterio for two nights in a Deluxe Oxygen Enriched Room.
Day 8 - Cusco
Morning excursion to Andahuaylillas village home to San Pedro, a 17th century Jesuit church known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas”; there is no church in the city of Cusco to compare with it and the interior resembles a cathedral in its sumptuous decoration. Continue on to Tipon, an Inca site that consists of a long series of high, beautifully-constructed agricultural terraces –some of the finest in existence. Picnic lunch at the area. Spend your evening at leisure.
Day 9 – Lake Titicaca
Early morning transfer to Wanchaq station to board the fabulous Andean Explorer train. Wonder at the marvelous landscape on the trip to Puno. Overnight at El Libertador Hotel on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 10 – Lake Titicaca
Enjoy a full day on the lake, including lunch, visiting the floating islands of Uros and Taquile in a private boat with personal guide. Evening at leisure.
Day 11 – Colca Canyon
Leave Puno, en route visit Sillustani and fly to Arequipa from where you will be transferred to the Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest canyons. Enjoy three nights at Las Casitas del Colca with its delightful cottages providing a rare opportunity to relax and reflect on the beauty and tranquility of the Colca valley enabling time to be spent in harmony with the canyon and its surroundings. Full board is included for the entire stay.
Day 12 – Colca Canyon
Early morning, half day private tour to: “Cruz del Condor” where you can marvel at the majestic flight of this sacred Andean bird. Continue on to the remote rural town of Cabanaconde where you can experience the typical kind of life of the Colca Valley region.
Day 13 – Colca Canyon
Relax and enjoy all the activities the lodge offers: bird watching, cooking classes, horseback riding, bike rides, and thermal waters.
Day 14 - Lima
Early morning transfer to Arequipa. Lunch at La Trattoria del Monasterio, an outstanding restaurant inside one of Arequipa’s leading architectural and historical attractions, the Convent of Santa Catalina, where you can enjoy a truly memorable culinary adventure that combines the finest of Arequipan and Italian cuisine. Later, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Lima. Overnight at the Miraflores Park Hotel, in an Ocean View Executive Suite.
Day 15 – Depart Lima
Day free at leisure before departure.
